Infant and Child Development is the study of young children from conception to adulthood. Emphasis, however, lies primarily on the early childhood years, a very special age span in human development.
The Infant and Child Development program is designed to equip teachers of young children with fundamental views and skills so that they may function effectively with the children in their care. These courses will also aid students in developing a personal philosophy on how children learn and why they behave as they do.

To be admitted to the university high school students must have a GPA of 2.25 as well as an SAT score of 430 on Critical Thinking/Verbal and 400 on Math or an ACT score of 17 on English and 17 on Math.
