The Farm, Home and Ministers’ Conference began with the purpose of continuing the heritage of all persons of African American descent working together to enhance and strengthen the community of Fort Valley, Georgia and surrounding areas served by Fort Valley State University (formerly Fort Valley State College ). Because of this need, the first Farm, Home and Ministers’ Conference was coordinated by the Fort Valley State University Cooperative Extension Program in 1977. Today, Fort Valley State University continues to lead the region in educating its clients on issues related to the family, health and faith.
This year's theme is: "Agricultural and Natural Disasters: Are We Prepared?". Join our invited special guest Ben Jones, along with subject matter experts and community members for a day of learning, preparing and awareness.
Topics Will Include:
- Preparing for Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Earthquakes and Floods
