Employees of Fort Valley State University's Department of Veterinary Sciences and Public Health assisted animal rescue groups in middle Georgia by providing health exams and care to approximately 50 dogs.

The dogs are stray animals from across middle Georgia that are scheduled to be shipped to Massachusetts and adopted. The animals are scheduled to depart middle Georgia for Massachusetts Monday Jan. 12. Watch the broadcast from 13WMAZ for more details (7/5/2016 UPDATE: video is no longer available at news site).
