Fort Valley State University’s Cooperative Extension Program is conducting a free ZOOM seminar June 24.
The seminar called, Child Stimulus Tax Credit: What You Need to Know, will consist of two sessions. The first will be from noon-1:30 p.m. Participants unavailable for the afternoon session can attend the evening session held from 6-7:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to pre-register by June 22 at bit.ly/fvsuag-child-tax-credit-credit-june-2011.
“The purpose of this seminar is to raise awareness about the upcoming Child Care Tax Credit,” said Millicent Price, FVSU Extension agent for Crawford County. “We want to help families understand how this credit works,” said Price, who will serve as moderator.
Furthermore, the FVSU Extension agent said the online format aims to target adults and families with qualifying dependents inside and outside of FVSU’s Extension’s 34-county coverage area.
Representatives from the University of Georgia’s Cooperative Extension Program and LESWIN Financial will make presentations. Some of the topics of discussion include qualifications and eligibility, financial planning implications, tax implications and payment options.
The seminar will also be simulcast on FaceBook live at facebook.com/pg/FVSUCAFST/videos.
