FVSU 1890 Scholarship Program Document Requirements

Please note, your application will not be considered until/unless you submit the following required documents:

Required Documents

High School Students

  1. Privacy Act Advisory Statement and Release Form.
  2. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  3. Current resume.
  4. A minimum 300-word essay describing the applicant’s interest and intent to pursue a career in the food and agricultural sciences or related fields.
  5. Current official transcript with the school’s seal and/or signature of an authorized school official (preferably through the most recent quarter/semester).
  6. Letter of recommendation from high school counselor.
  7. Letter of recommendation from high school teacher.
  8. Signed and dated application (including the signature of the parent or guardian, if the applicant is under the age of 18).

Transfer Students

  1. Privacy Act Advisory Statement and Release Form.
  2. FAFSA.
  3. Current resume.
  4. Current official transcript with the institution’s seal and/or signature of an authorized college or university official (preferably through the most recent quarter/semester).
  5. A minimum 300-word essay describing the applicant’s interest and intent to pursue a career in the food and agricultural sciences or related fields.
  6. Two letters of recommendation (one from the department head or dean, and the other from a faculty member).
  7. Signed and dated application (including the signature of the parent or guardian, if the applicant is under the age of 18).
