Family and Consumer Sciences

Family and Consumer Sciences is one of the most versatile and diverse choices for today's students preparing for productive and rewarding lives in the 21st century. It includes some of the fastest growing career fields including food science, nutrition and health, hospitality, education, human development and family science, fashion design, textiles and apparel.

The family and consumer sciences program has two concentrations – food and nutrition and infant and child development. The food and nutrition program equips graduates to become ambassadors of health and wellness for individuals, families and communities through a comprehensive curriculum. The Infant and Child Development program is designed to equip teachers of young children with the fundamental views and skills needed to effectively nurture the development of young minds.
